Technical Data
Function
The model FT 9004 presents a unit designed for dividing frequencies respectively pulse chains of incremental encoders. Two input pulse chains 90° out of phase are divided by a user adjustable value and are outputted as two pulse chains 90° out of phase. Up-down counting is possible without loss of pulses. A second function can be selected by an internal DIP switch. Using this function, input A is used as input for a pulse chain, input B is used for controlling the direction of the pulse chain. As described above, the output signals of the output channels A and B are two pulse chains 90° out of phase.
Isolated Input Channels
Configuration of the input channels:
- Input level: 5 V, 12 V, 24 V
- Input current: 5 mA
- Input frequency: max. 90 kHz
Output Channels
- open-collector transistor outputs
- max. 50 mA by 30 V
Power Supply
- 18–36 V DC isolated (standard)
- 4.5–9 VDC isolated (option)
- 9–18 VDC isolated (option)
- 36–48 VDC isolated (option)
